The real questions seem to be 1). who exactly came up with this stupid idea in the first place and why do they still have a job? My guess is it was a joint decision by the PD (whose job it is to support criminals) and the DA (whom supporting criminals is not her job but she seems very good at it anyway). 2). Is the mayor lying? He hired these bozos... he can fire them. 3). Do any of those involved even UNDERSTAND why people are upset about this???

THE DECISION WAS MADE BY THE PROBATION DEPARTMENT. BUT THE MAYOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CITY FUNDS. SO HE CANT SAY HIS HANDS ARE NOT DIRTY. HE SAID HIS HANDS ARE TIED...BLAH BLAH BLAH....ITS UP TO THE COURTS....BLAH BLAH BLAH. BUT ON MAY 16 THIS PRACTICE WAS ORDERED STOPPED. BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR. SO IF HE CAN ORDER IT STOPPED NOW...HE COULD HAVE DONE IT BEFORE.

Well, today the California citizens can call their State Senators and ask them to vote against AB 2076 that will prohibit the use of the E-verify system for cities and the State for employment.

Do you know how dangerous that is? Our ports, airports (LAX), our water ways are all under State or city jurisdiction. If we don't know who is working their with no background checks and stolen SSN's we are in REAL danger.

Remember the illegals found working in the airport back east? I think it was the same one the 911 terrorists went through. My hubby retired from LAX. Do you know how vulnerable air freight traffic is? Oh my word I'm telling now, CALL YOUR CALIFORNIA SENATOR AND TELL THEM TO VOTE AGAINST AB 2076.
