CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- A man has been sentenced in New Hampshire federal court for illegally re-entering the United States after having been deported to his home country of Brazil.

Aldair Borges de Freitas, 31, and living in Saco, Maine, was deported in 2006. He was found by immigration agents in December 2008 in Rochester and arrested. He pleaded guilty in April.

Borges de Freitas was sentenced Wednesday to about five months in prison, or time he's already served since he was charged.

Borges de Freitas now remains in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending further deportation proceedings.
