    Picture Is Worth 1000 Words

    Picture Is Worth 1000 Words

The Feet To the Fire rally held April 22, 2007 was an event
organized by anti-immigration activists to demonstrate America's
desire for a tough stance against immigration reform. According
to the Federation For American Immigration Reform, the rally
"drew people from around the world demanding action to secure US
borders, enforce its laws and make English its official
    language." A photo
    http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u25/ ... CN2174.jpg
taken of the event by a demonstrator shows about a hundred
protesters, a far cry from the immigrant marches that were
attended by hundreds of thousands. Based on this picture, the
anti-immigrationists's position that their anti-immigration views
are widely held by the American public, is on shaky ground,
proving the old adage: a picture is worth a thousand words. The
anti-immigrationists are vocal to be sure and certainly make
their presence felt in American polity. However, as this much
ballyhooed event shows, they are in a tiny minority. Congress
will be acting for the vast majority of Americans in ignoring the
    anti-immigrationists and enacting CIR.

This is ridiculous! Americans have a lot more responsibilities than most illegal immigrants and they certainly don't have someone paying their way to D.C. The illegals and their supporters were only in Washington for one day and the majority of them were bussed in from out of the area (payed for by sponsors). Furthermore, this was a short notice operation.

There are many reasons why the illegals and their supporters outnumbered us, but rest assured - it's not because amnesty has more support than enforcement!

The picture belies our true numbers.

    Classic propaganda.
BTW, why were these illegals, criminals, allowed to walk around on our nations streets? Why weren't they arrested? Why weren't the folks who sponsored them arrested or at least cited for aiding and abetting these criminals? Where was law enforcement?

My response to theConcerning: Picture is worth 1000 words.

I am a member of Alipac and NumbersUSA. In this article, you mentioned we are "a tiny minority" and imply that Congress should not listen to us.

We are by the millions, and many of us cannot just pick up and go out into the streets, as the illegal aliens do. The ones in Washington, went there on their own dollar, not La Raza's, not MALDEF's or organizations such as, the Socialists, Marxists and Communists Parties we have in the USA.

Also Illegal aliens were given every accomodation to leave their work place, their schools to march in our streets, last year. Do you know what would happen to many American workers that walked off their jobs to march in a street? We'd be fired! And the ACLU would not come to our aid, since the ACLU would prefer to sue our small towns over a displayed cross, or some other insane issue.

Illegal Immigration has become a big business...for lawyers to gain more money from, for special interest groups and for big business that want more and more cheap labor, now our own Unions are stabbing their own workers in the back, just to get these illegals to pay dues!

So, do not say we are not a large group, we are larger than you would ever expect.

I would also advise you, when you report about us, that you would use the phrase, "Anti-Illegal Immigrant groups". We are not anti-immigrant...it's ILLEGAL, GET IT?

When we have lost over 3 Million good paying jobs, when American construction workers were kicked off their jobs because they earned $20 per hr. and an illegal was offered $8 per hr...something needs to be changed, especially when it's American citizens that are paying our so-called politicians' salaries.

And don't even mention the poor illegal working for $8 per hr., he lives in a house or apt. with many others, sharing the rent....American workers have families, that live in homes with mortgages and all the other bills that have to be paid, while illegals get free health care, free education and on top of that, our taxes are going to incarcerate their criminals.

No Sir, we are here, we are large and we will be heard!
