CORONA, N.M. (AP) -- Authorities in New Mexico say a bus driver wanted in connection with a bus crash that killed two people has been caught by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

The Torrance County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the federal agents arrested 36-year-old Jesus Esquivel at a border crossing in El Paso, Texas.

The sheriff's office said Esquivel is expected to be returned to New Mexico next week to face charges of vehicular homicide, aggravated injury with a vehicle and reckless driving.

The charges stem from a Dec. 26 bus accident that killed two women and injured nearly four dozen other passengers.

Police said Esquivel was driving the bus when it overturned after going out of control in a construction zone on a highway near Corona, N.M.
