Oregon is absolutely gorgeous, we have hundreds of miles of dramatic coastline, an enormous river crashing to meet with the ocean at it's end (the Columbia), high deserts, spectacular volcanic mountain range, alpine lakes, massive waterfalls, the list goes on. I feel so blessed to live in this place, yet, paradise has it's price.

That price is living with the countries most liberal and socialistic dorks there is, with the exception of San Francisco-ites.

However, there are MANY down to earth, average people who are fed-up with seeing their country over run with criminal illegal aliens. We truthfully do outnumber the libertards here, so they do a lot of screaming and kicking to try to get their way and make us cower to them, but it has stopped working lately, that is why they are so angry right now.

You have my deepest sympathy I left Fairfax County which is controlled by ultra liberals. I'm too stupid to think for myself therefore

American_Elizabeth - yep, I hear ya'. We're about the same age, and I'm a native northwesterner as well (well, been in Oregon most of my life, but was born in WA). Yes, I think what you're saying is basically true.

PhredE, it is ridiculous lately, especially with Multnomah county commissioners (except for Lonnie Roberts !) and also Portlands far reaching nutty group in power.

We have been tempted to move to Eastern Oregon, but with no jobs there, and my husband would die in the summer ( Mr. "man-there's-no-shade-in-this-place"), so here we stay in the midst of the illegals and their masters.
