No point in waiting to fix immigration

President Obama isn't afraid to use power, and he reportedly intends to use it to confront immigration reform this year.

According to The New York Times, Obama plans to address the volatile issue beginning next month. Senior administration officials reveal that those plans include providing a path for illegal immigrants to gain legal status. The Times quotes Cecilia Munoz, director of intergovernmental affairs in the White House, as saying that Obama will pursue “policy reform that controls immigration and makes it an orderly system.â€

The last thing we want is to maintain a system that is so cumbersome that those who might otherwise come legally feel as if they have no choice but to come illegally.

The process for getting a job is so cumbersome, I feel I have no choice but to just rob a bank.

The process of figuring out the U.S. tax code and filing taxes is so cumbersome, I feel I have no choice but to just NOT pay my taxes.

It seems like our Government is doing all if can to push us up against the wall, so that we will react. And if we react with any kind of violence which they are instigating, the Gov't will either declare Martial law and/or send out Obama's civilian army to repress us. Also, part of the Gov't plan that has been unfolding is that the Gov't is doing all it can to take away the American people's guns so that we will be unarmed and unable to defend ourselves against Obama's civilian but military trained army.

Yep ... I think that is very likely their plan.

LOL...ya that's the ticket. I'm broke, so maybe I'll pay my taxes with monopoly money, it's worth about as much.

We should start wearing hats with pins in them and pop their balloons of hot air.

We like the sound of that. Those of us on the border can tell Obama and the rest of the country just how disorderly the current system has become. That's a problem for Border Patrol agents, who don't know who they're going to pull over on a given night – a drug smuggler, gun smuggler, immigrant smuggler. Why not reduce the human traffic by expanding roadways for immigrants to come legally, so that the agents can concentrate on serious criminals?

What a dunce! Like 23 different visas aren't enough. Whay do they want: Hi, I'm a drug smuggler so which visa should I apply for? The delusion this writer is operating on is baseless. Those that come here just don't want to apply for visas, finding it easier to pay thousands to coyotes for getting into this country. Undoubtedly so many of these people know they would not qualify for any visa, so why bother?
