Gutierrez introduced private relief bill for Arellano in April of 2005. In his letter he asks the President “to allow the legislation I introduced the opportunity to be addressed before you take action to deport this outstanding woman.”
It gets rough out here doesn't it? I'm losing tooth enamel again.

When is Gutierrez up for reelection? He needs to be voted out of office along with all of the other traitors in Congress.

I can't beleive she is said to be like Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks was an American standing up for her rights as an American. This criminal, many times over has no rights except deportation or be put in jail. If I was black I'd be outraged that this woman, as well as other illegals have said that their cause is like the civil rights movements of the sixties. What an absurd statement. They are nothing but criminals and they have no rights, especially to stay here no matter what excuse they may use. And to use their children as their "shield" is proof that they will use anything no matter how low down, to make their case to stay. I'm sick, tired and very angry that anyone would even consider what they have to say as being valid, esp. elected officals.

He not only needs to be booted out of office, he needs to be booted out of this country. Maybe he can run in Mexico as he seems to have their best interests at heart

What I think this and other news reports did not say, but that Lou Dobbs said tonight was that she was deported in 1997 and came back into the States. So, this is her second deportation. Given this, wouldn't she then be ineligible for "amnesty" and would have to be deported anyway under the Senate plan?

According to my understanding of S. 2611, you're right. I believe, after receiving a deportation order, a person has to wait 10 years before submitting an application for re-entry into the United States.

Exactly......she wouldn't qualify even under the "new" plan.....which just again goes to show that it will not be enforced even if it did pass.
