Is there an absolute definition as to the duties of ICE and Border Patrol? It is beginning to sound like the the local police are confused. Do ICE and BP even communicate with one another?
IMO, the more eyes and ears on the streets, the easier the job will be for both agencies. But it seems this administration does not necessarily agree, and will throw monkey wrenches whenever given the chance.

Yes I had to go apply a year ago and got turned down, while all the wording in the paperwork you fill out basically allows illegal immigrants hundreds and hundreds of dollars in food stamps. I was stunned reading the paperwork in North Carolina. I simply couldn't believe that an illegal immigrant from a foreign country was sucking this much money out of American Taxpayers pockets. It is treason, they used to hang people by the neck till they were dead for treason. How did these people get away with this. Our government allowed it and helped it along by giving foreigners access to American benefits. Treason!

The # of illegals is not going down. Here in my home town there is a lot in hiding because immigrations are checking for illegal workers right now. It went round like a wildfire that the feds are in town. My next door Mexican neighbors don't even turn thier lights on at night latily. Just wait until the Feds leave. Those who didn't get caught will all come out again. For those who did get letters to go back to Mexico will return. I do not believe in any hope for change anymore. We are being lied to from all corners. I am fedup with it all

You're right we are being lied to from all corners, but we will overcome this, zuckerpu. The only time you can fool an Americans is when we're not paying attention. Well, we're paying attention now. There is no force greater on this planet than the goodness of 250 million pissed off Americans raising hell with their government, and I think we're 63% of the way to taking our country back.

The illegal alien numbers have been skewed for at least two decades by government reporting, so why would one think these numbers were any more accurate?

Here is a very interesting tidbit that exceeded even my best estimates of illegals within the borders of the US, and it's probably pretty darn accurate. Most troubling though, is that the publication was from 2007. Surely the numbers grew exponentially in 2008 and 2009 while hopes were high that an amnesty was imminent. The count for Illegal Immigrant was around 11 million during the 90's.
