[quote]This election is about the 12 million people living in the shadows, the communities taking immigration enforcement into their own hand. They are counting on us to stop the hateful rhetoric filling our airwaves, and rise above the fear, and rise above the demagoguery, and finally enact comprehensive immigration reform.â€

    So this is his position??!!
This is NOT the position that the citizens of America deserve!
It is only the one they will have to pay for!

OBAMA can take his "Si, se, Puede" and shove it where the sun doesn't shine! That phrase alone is symbolic of his chosen identification with uncontrolled law breakers.

Obviously, his illegal drug expiramentation transferred to his later illegal loosey-goosey non-enforcement of American law.

We cannot afford a liberal President that double-crosses his citizens.
NO to OPEN-BORDERS OBAMA FOR THIS COUNTRY!!!

If they will disregard our immigration laws...what OTHER laws will they IGNORE when they feel like it!!! That should speak for itself to EVERY American!!!! DIRTY POLITICIANS!!!!!
Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

If Obama or McCain gives amnesty to 12 MILLION ILLEGAL aliens when they get their citizenship each of them gets to sponsor their parents, siblings and kids to come here too. When that group gets their citizenship they too get to sponsor their parents, siblings and kids. It's called Chain Migration, and it never ends. So we are talking about many millions more than the original 12 million.
    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

Oh I hope he gives this same speech on national tv so the entire country can hear his position.

Tell us Obama, tell the millions of Americans who lost their jobs PRECISELY because of illegal aliens.

Tell it to the families of those killed by illegal aliens and their spawn.

Tell it to our families who struggle every day to FOLLOW the law by PAYING for health and auto insurance (ya know, things illegal aliens won't do?).

Tell it to the millions of Americans who can't get decent hospital care because emergency rooms everywhere are clogged with illegal aliens and their spawn.

Tell it to us taxpayers who have to see our children suffer through overcrowded schools and dumbed down curricula due to children of illegal aliens.

Tell it to the Americans families who have loved ones fighting in the war, while back home you've left the back gate open to the invasion of millions more illiterate, unskilled, ungrateful and xenophobic freeloaders!

Tell us again how this election is about "12 million" ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS?? You go Obama, YOU GO! Tell us like it is. PLEASE DO, we're ALL ears.

We see that McCain is no better when it comes to illegal immigration. The difference between McCain and Obama remains to be seen. It still is easiest to conclude that the presidential race right now is a fake clash between fake political ideology.

Obama took an active role in the Senate's drive for improved border security and immigration reform. In 2005, he cosponsored the "Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act" introduced by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).[23] He later added three amendments to the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act", which passed the Senate in May 2006, but failed to gain majority support in the U.S. House of Representatives.[24] In September 2006, Obama supported a related bill, the Secure Fence Act, authorizing construction of fencing and other security improvements along the United States–Mexico border.[25] President Bush signed the Secure Fence Act into law in October 2006, calling it "an important step toward immigration reform."[26]

As a tax payer of Illinois, I can say that he is not speaking for me!

I can't believe that so many of our politicians are willing to sell out our country for some votes.

The United States can't afford the mess we're in, let alone legalizing everyone who sneaks across the border.

Obama speaking any language other than English is reason enough not to vote for him. Can we have a do-over on the elections over the past few years?

The Democratic candidate made the speech to a crowd of Hispanic leaders at black-tie dinner capping the end of a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gathering in Washington.
The only people Obama is interested in discussing his so called 'immigration plan' (AKA amnesty) is with groups of hispanics.

Makes me believe the only ones who are going to benefit from his so called 'immigration plan' will be hispanics, and not the country as a whole!

    Talk about being divisive!

This subject of catering to hispanics was discussed on Lou's show yesterday. It was said many politicians try to lump them into one big group which you cannot do. So these special interest groups they pander to actually represent many less than it appears. I think this was mentioned while Lou was talking to a hispanic republican congressman, sorry I forget his name. He did say he's never been contacted by any group like La Raza, etc too.
