There is actually.

We are at war so there would be nothing untoward about initiating an immediate halt to immigration into this country....especially from middle eastern countries......demanding that all noncitizen foreign nationals....especially those from the middle east......return to their home countries, revoking their permissions to be here, militarizing our border, and embarking on a widescale round up and deportation of all those in the country illegally.

The problem is that no one running this zoo has the backbone to do it. And until they obtain one, we're just one big tragedy looking for a time and place to occur.

So now anyone can just walk up to a border patrol checkpoint and say "I need asylum" and they will be granted instant access to walk freely into the US?

On top of that an IA can now gain preferential treatment towards a green card by claiming "victimization." I remember the scene in the first Dirty Harry movie where the perp pays some one to give him a beating.

You have some very good suggestions azwreath. That would be a very active attempt to end some of the craziness that is now the norm.

Refugee and asylum seekers will start coming out of the woodwork. The boat will tip over with so many crashing the borders and ports, and we will be the third world that so many leave.

They can't even keep track of people who overstay their visas, nor do they have the ability to track them down. So I feel real, real safe knowing that we have to be humane before considering what is best for the citizens of this country.
