The Obama administration has reversed a rule issued in the last days of the Bush administration that said immigrants facing deportation do not have an automatic right to an effective lawyer.
Attorney General Eric Holder says he is vacating the order, issued by predecessor Michael Mukasey, and instructing the Justice Department to study whether a new rule is needed.
Mukasey had issued a 33-page decision in January saying the Constitution does not entitle someone facing deportation to have a case reopened based upon shoddy work by a lawyer. Mukasey said the Justice Department does have the discretion to reopen such cases if it wishes to do so.
Immigrant rights groups had criticized the Mukasey decision.

My end note:
1. So ILLEGAL immigrants have the rights to a lawyer now to represent them on the taxpayer’s dime to fight deportation about entering America ILLEGALLY! Since when do illegal immigrants have the rights of Americans?
2. Since when does the ACLU run the Obama Administration?
3. Add this to Eric Holder’s latest antic of telling the State of Georgia that there should be no verification of the voter…..in other words ILLEGALS have the right to vote in Georgia.
4. Go to a foreign country as an illegal immigrant: Then demand a lawyer and see how far you get.
5. What ever happened to the RULE OF LAW?
WHEN will this end?

Who is paying for this court cost? If you are in America illegally you get deported. What is so hard about this logic?

Who decides if a lawyer's work is "shoddy"? The illegal alien who loses his "case"? 2010 can't come soon enough!
