U.S. Border Patrol Agents in Southern California Arrest Violent Criminal

Calexico, Calif. - U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Calexico Station apprehended a 50-year-old male, Mexican national, attempting to enter the United States illegally near Calexico, California.On July 6, 1989, the Los Angeles Superior Court had convicted the subject of PC-Murder Second Degree and sentenced him to an eight-year prison term. CBP Officers Intercept 'Date-Rape' Drug

Nogales, Ariz. - A female Mexican national was apprehended yesterday after Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa Port discovered the she was in possession of animal tranquilizers often used in the commission of sexual assaults. Officers referred Josefina Irene Dominguez, 51, for additional questioning and a vehicle search when she attempted to enter the United States. (more)

CBP Officers in Southern Arizona Seize More Than 30 Pounds of Cocaine

San Luis, Ariz. - A Mexican national was arrested Monday morning for attempting to smuggle $275,000 worth of cocaine into the United States. Customs and Border Protection officers referred Nestor Martinez-Noriega, 52, of San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, for additional inspection of his Dodge truck. (more)

CBP Officers at the Calexico Downtown Port Intercept $450,000 in U.S. Currency Bound for Mexico

Calexico, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Calexico downtown port of entry yesterday intercepted $450,000 in unreported U.S. currency. The incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, when officers conducting outbound inspections referred a green 2002 Acura MDX for further examination. (more)

U.S. Border Patrol Agents in South Texas Seize Nearly 20 Pounds of Cocaine

Laredo, Texas - On October 22, Laredo South Border Patrol agents assigned to transportation checks at a local bus station arrested two U.S. Citizen male subjects and seized 19.9 lbs. of cocaine. As the agents were conducting immigration inspections of passengers boarding a bus, the agents noticed two subjects that appeared to have irregular objects underneath their clothing. (more)

CBP Officers in Southern Arizona Seize $90,000 in Unreported Cash

Nogales, Ariz. - Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 19-year-old Tucson male for allegedly attempting to smuggle $90,000 in unreported U.S. currency into Mexico through the Dennis DeConcini Port. On Friday CBP officers conducting outbound inspections selected a Chevrolet truck driven by Hugo Alejandro Egurrola-Vasquez for additional inspection and found nine packages of currency hidden in the spare tire. San Diego/Imperial County CBP Officers Seize Almost $5.2 Million of Narcotics Over Weekend

San Diego, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at ports of entry along the California/Mexico border over the weekend seized approximately 685 pounds of narcotics valued at almost $5.2 million and captured 17 fugitives.
