Thread: Obama "Virus"

I work for a major pc manufacture and in the last three days I have taken fourteen calls from people that have received an E-mail like this.

"Obama porn video"

The "Teaser" Seems to be the promise of a porn video starring Obama.

Yahoo news is calling this "Spyware"

This is not "Spyware" This is a full blown virus.

This is completely shutting down the windows operating system.

The first few calls I took we were able to replace a keyboard Or a mouse and run a system recovery and at least it seemed ok. (Keyboard or mouse failed)?

In all cases when I boot to into system bios or into safe mode either the mouse fails or the keyboard fails.

Either way I am unable to make any changes in bios or safe mode,

This is either before or after doing a complete system recovery. (Reinstalling the windows operating system)

Now I see the its not the hardware that is failing it is the "Com or bussport" the device is using.

The Cmos needs manually reset and then ya can go forward "Normally" (Even that not a guarantee)

This is a very nasty virus that attacks down to the core.

Please be aware of any links to anything Obama in your E-mails

This man scares me for his ability to attack at the core of what America is.

Yes, thank you for this info. I would never try to open an email named that anyway, but it is good to know.
