The Associated Press

A stolen car recovering device led officers to a chop shop operation in Apache Junction.
Members of the Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force also discovered 12 undocumented immigrant workers and numerous stolen cars and car parts at a vehicle repair shop Monday, according to a statement from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Chop shops remove parts off vehicles for resale.
No arrests were made, according to the statement. Arrests are pending as the investigation continues.
The undocumented immigrants were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to the statement.
As agents raided the vehicle repair shop, they discovered several large trucks including commercial water tenders, Ford F850s, and Ford F550s, three dismantled trailers, three forklifts, two additional generators, several Harley Davidson motorcycles and motorcycle parts, according to DPS.
The business owner was unavailable for comment Monday afternoon.
Several important documents were also seized, including vehicle registration titles, which may have been altered or used in the remanufacturing or selling of stolen cars and car parts.
The Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force is a multi-agency, statewide enforcement unit overseen by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Its officers investigate organized crime activity and conspiracy operations in Arizona relating to the theft of stolen vehicles, possession of stolen vehicles and stolen vehicle parts, dismantling and the remanufacturing and resale of stolen vehicles parts, DPS said.
