OK: ICE won't comment on immigrants released from state pris
ICE won't comment on immigrants released from state prisons
Associated Press - July 12, 2007 9:45 AM ET
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Federal immigration officials won't comment on what's happened to more than two dozen immigrants recently released from state prisons.
At least 25 immigrants have completed their sentences for rape, drug trafficking and lewd molestation.
They were to go before Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials for possible deportation.
ICE spokesman Carl Rusnok says he can't confirm whether the immigrants appeared because it would be too time consuming and an "administrative burden" to give the status of each immigrant.
The state Department of Corrections says ICE placed detainers on the immigrants and they were turned over to immigration officials when they were released. But the department doesn't distinguish whether the immigrant was in the US legally or illegally.

This past Tuesday night, Minuteman HQ had a live forum, during which a member from Arizona wrote that she had a verified report that ICE flew a bunch of illegal convicts away from the border to Oklahoma & Illinois privitized prisons. NOW WE FIND OUT THEY WERE POSSIBLY RELEASED!?!?
Please everyone call your senators and reps now to demand an investigation! Call the White House at (202) 456-1111!

Since ICE is involved, the person in question must not be a citizen yet. So it doesn't matter if the person is legal or illegal, both are subject to deportation according to all I have read.
