    Immigrant charged with murder in man's death

    TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A man accused in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend's date has been charged with first-degree murder.

    Police say 18-year-old Juan Carlos Perez shot and killed Omar Antonio Garcia on Feb. 7. Charges were filed on Friday.

    A witness detained Perez until police officers arrived and arrested him. They found Garcia lying on the mobile home's front steps with a gunshot wound to the head.

    Court records do not indicate if Perez has retained an attorney.

    Along with the first-degree murder charge, Perez is being held for immigration agents at the Tulsa Jail.

    This reminds me, I heard somewhere that reporters sometimes are given a list of forbidden words to use. In these pc days it isn't surprising.
