Proving once again just what a lowly individual he is, Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon used a press conference to which was supposed to be about light rail to EXPLOIT the Holocaust Museum shootings by linking Sheriff Joe Arpaio to hate groups.

PHOENIX -- It was a bold statement, made at a surprising moment.

On Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Phil Gordon was expected to talk about the light rail, but instead opened the news conference with a discussion on the fatal shooting of a guard at the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.

The gunman was identified as James Von Brunn, who law enforcement claim is a white supremacist that ran an anti-Semitic website.

Gordon then accused Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio of being associated with hate groups and said, “I ask the sheriff today to publicly denounce his associations with these hate mongers and apologize, so we can begin righting the ship. He should denounce the Nazis and neo-Nazis for the first time.â€

Has anyone else tried to leave a comment after the article?

I'm just wondering because something really weird happened when I tried to register so I could comment.

When I went to type in the captcha, it sent me back because I'd accidentally put a space in my email. Okay....no big deal, it happens and I'm notorious for doing that.

But, when I got to the captcha again, the words were "elderly" and something which looked like "state" but what could've been the "e" was just a blob.

Soooo.....not being known for my patience with such crap as all that, I decided to just listen to the code and type it in that way.

So, I clicked on to listen and all I could hear was what sounded like part of a very angry speech in either a foreign language or very heavily accented English followed by the prompt to "type in the numbers as you heard them"

Well there were NO numbers......nothing which even remotely sounded like numbers.

Because I didn't type anything in, it bounced me back to try again and this time the captcha read "sellout" and something which looked like "weird" with the last letter being that unreadable blob of ink again.

At that point I just got the hell out of there and I'm now running scans to be sure that I wasn't infected with anything.



I'm just wondering if anyone else tried to comment and had anything strange happen because now I'm wondering:

Between this, the fact that the votes are running away in favor of Gordon when the facts just don't bear out that kind of support for him in this county, and also because the comments section has been stalled at 22 for quite some time.....is it possible that the pro-illegal thugs have gotten in there and screwed with this somehow?
