Amnesty for illegal aliens is so unpopular in America today that Congress is afraid to touch it – especially in an election year, says the organizer of the "No Amnesty Pledge" currently inundating the U.S. Senate with protests on the subject.

But the threat of legalizing tens of millions of illegal aliens in time for the 2012 presidential election is far from dead, says Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND and the force behind the campaign.

"Barack Obama is considering taking unilateral action on this issue – without any constitutional justification whatsoever," says Farah. "That's why it's time to step up the pressure, not ease off."

The plot was revealed by several senators in a letter they wrote to Obama June 21.

"There's a lot we can agree on when it comes to dealing with the immigration problems in the United States, but this appears to be amnesty in disguise, and is simply an attempt to circumvent Congress," Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in a statement.

Grassley and Sens. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah; Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.; David Vitter, R-La.; Jim Bunning, R-Ky.; James Inhofe, R-Okla.; Thad Cochran, R-Miss.; and Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., all signed the letter to the president.

"We understand that there's a push for your administration to develop a plan to unilaterally extend either deferred action or parole to millions of illegal aliens in the United States," they wrote in their letter. "We understand that the administration may include aliens who have willfully overstayed their visas or filed for benefits knowing that they will not be eligible for a status for years to come."

"Deferred action" is granted by the Department of Homeland Security. It's a short-term suspension of deportation hearings for illegal aliens. With "deferred action," illegals are often allowed to apply for employment-authorization cards.

The lawmakers noted that "deferred action" and parole are discretionary actions reserved for "individual cases that present unusual, emergent or humanitarian circumstances."

"Deferred action and parole were not intended to be used to confer a status or offer protection to large groups of illegal aliens, even if the agency claims that they look at each case on a 'case-by-case' basis," they wrote.

"The No Amnesty Pledge" is a campaign designed both to thwart consideration of "comprehensive immigration reform" in Congress and afford citizens the opportunity to thank Arizona for its common-sense stand against illegal immigration.

"It's working," says Farah. "So we've got to keep the pressure mounting."

"Amnesty will spell the death knell of this country," says the organizer of the campaign designed to flood the U.S. Senate with letters of sharp protest. "Amnesty will tear this country apart," says Farah. "When 70 percent of Americans support Arizona's dramatic and courageous action to fill the void of federal failure on policing our borders, Washington is about to flout the will of the people once again. This is a brazen action to buy illegal votes. This is utter contempt for the rule of law and the will of the people. It must be stopped. This will be a genie that cannot be placed back in the bottle."

To combat it, Farah came up with "The No Amnesty Pledge."

It's an easy and inexpensive way for American citizens to make their voice heard effectively throughout the entire U.S. Senate – reaching all 100 members with "The No Amnesty Pledge," he says. And all at a cost of just $24.95.

"I want you to visualize boxes of these protest messages arriving in every member's office every day," explains Farah. "They are guaranteed to be delivered by Fed Ex. It's the power of collective action. It demonstrates that we mean business – that Americans will not accept the destruction of their country lying down."

If you're tired of jammed Capitol switchboards, fax machines getting turned off and the hassle of writing letters only to your own representative and two senators, this program offers you a real bargain in getting your voice heard in Washington. "This is a powerful new vehicle that allows busy Americans to be part of a major demonstration of power and discontent," says Farah. "Don't wait. Who knows how quickly the Senate may act on this plan to increase the size of the constituency of those who know their days are numbered."

Make your voice heard now through "The No Amnesty Pledge."

Meanwhile, here is the text of the letter of encouragement to Arizona Gov. Brewer:

"Thank you for your courage in taking a stand on behalf of all American citizens through the signing of the recent illegal alien legislation.

"It is the federal government that has failed your state and the rest of our country by not following the Constitution. Article IV, Section 4 states: 'The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.'
"There is little question that a silent invasion of our country has been underway for too long. The action taken by you and your legislature is restrained, reasonable and common-sensical. Washington is not living up to its own promises to build the border fence that would alleviate many of the problems Arizona and other border states are having.

"I hope this letter serves as encouragement to you and your citizens. America stands with you and appreciates you."

Like the letters to the U.S. senators, each letter to Gov. Brewer is personally and appropriately addressed, includes the name of the sender and is shipped by Fed Ex.
