GREEN BAY, Wis. -- A man sought in a 1993 murder has been apprehended in Mississippi and returned to Wisconsin.

Jesus Bautista, 35, also known as Marcelino Hernandez, was named in an arrest warrant along with another man after Leonardo Abarca-Guerrero was stabbed to death at his Green Bay home Aug. 29, 1993.

The other man remains at large, but Bautista was identified by fingerprints after he and two others were apprehended in Starkville, Miss. The three were stopped June 24 after an Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department car was almost hit by their car.

Once the men were turned over to U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials in Jackson, Miss., the ICE agents determined Bautista was wanted by the FBI and had criminal records in Illinois, Michigan, Oregon and California. The two other men had no criminal records.

Bautista had gotten new tattoos covering older ones and had grown a mustache and goatee. Agents said he had used at least 17 aliases and nine Social Security numbers.

But the fingerprints are what identified him, Green Bay police Capt. Karl Fleury said Thursday.

"You can't run from your fingerprints," Fleury said.

Bautista faces a charge of being party to first-degree intentional homicide, carrying a life prison term.

17 aliases and 9 Social Security numbers! I wonder how many are doing that and how many innocent lives they are ruining?
