    What we need is area detention centers say in each county. This way they can set up officers just to transport detainees for ICE. Say an interim team of officers.

    Public clamoring for answers in illegals’ release

    Two national lawmakers, Hazleton’s mayor, a police chief and the public are inquiring into the release of nine illegal immigrants from police custody in Beaver Meadows in late July.

    Beaver Meadows Chief Michael Morresi said he wasn’t pleased with the way the situation was handled. Not only does he believe that federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials didn’t do all they could have — he said a statement regarding the incident from ICE to a federal lawmaker’s staff was misleading.

    After being detained for four hours, the illegal immigrants were released.
    Complete rubbish! These illegal invaders could have been held for up to 72 hours without being charged with a crime and even longer if charged!! Your telling me they could not have held these illegals until some sort of arrangement could be reached regarding transportation! Why do I have a difficult time believing that?

    They let them go because they did not want to deport them!! There is no other explanation (other than gross incompetence which was also probably a factor)!
