No, you should be given a free order of new checks.

What a nice feel good story! I had no idea that Pennsylvania did this. Anyone who whines about this is obviously an illegal alien.

Don’t you find it ironic that criminals complain about their treatment? It’s like inmates who sue because they don’t get ALL of the HBO channels.

Now only if we could get the Voter Cards system to do the same…

"It's devastating to them," said Philadelphia immigration lawyer Jon Landau. "These people are working, and many have jobs, like cleaning houses, which require them to use their car."
It's simply amazing that a lawyer, who's supposed to be an officer of the court, can make such a statement, with a glaring violation of law needed to support his position!

How in the world are these people allowed to legally work in this country without a valid social security number? Would love to hear Mr. Landau's answer to that question....

Really? And just when in the hell was that allowed to happen?

We lived for a time in PA and when I went in to switch my license over from VA guess what?

I had to prove who I was.....including SS card......take the written test AND hand over my out of state license and any other ID I might have had issued by another state because it was against the law for me to possess that.

Did the requirements change and they now want to change it back again?

This makes me sick. I don't mean you 'azwreath'. This is typical of illegals who have this deluded sense of being 'entitled' for special treatment because our damm gov'ment gives it to them!! I never heard of anyone getting a driver's license without a SSN. An American citizen can't even an ID card from Dept. of Motor Vehicles without one.

Two years ago I moved from MD to VA, a total distance of 60 miles and just across one state line. I go to DMV with all my papers so I could register my car and get a VA driver's license. It wasn't good enough that I had my MD license (that was legal), my birth certificate, AND a bill such as utility or phone with my new address on it and a couple extra things for good measure. Very prepared. Nooooooo. Something was amiss. I was pulled away from the window and taken to speak to a DMV 'officer' (in a uniform!) because the name on my birth certificate depicted my maiden name and my other documentation had my married name. They informed me I needed to show them a copy of my divorce decree because my birth certificate didn't match my other documents! Now how many divorced people out there, who have to show their birth certificate have to show a divorce decree?

WHAT? I said, livid. I told them, not only had I been divorced for almost 25 years, my ex-husband had filed for divorce in PA, I had never received a copy of the decree (that I could recall), and that he was dead! It would take me weeks to get my divorce decree. My MD license should have been enough all by itself! The big 'authority figure' told me I needed to speak to a supervisor so they pulled me over to the end of the long counter window and spoke with this supervisor. I told her my plight, she looked over my docs, initialed my application, and sent me back to the original window to finish processing.

How do illegals even manage to even get in the door of the DMV without a SSN! And these crooked employers here are hiring these lugs and paying them under the table while not reporting or paying taxes.

We gotta put a stop to this folks or we're toast.

I live in a Hispanic town outside of Phoenix. When I moved here it was all new homes and there was no indication that it would become a hangout for illegals. The border of where they "where" versus where they "are" has moved at a rate of about two to three miles in all directions a year. So, now I am in Little Mexico. When I went to vote it was filled to the brim with people speaking Spanish. I was one of about four whites and there were maybe three blacks. The rest - Mexican and South American. When I got to the counter I had a stack of bills with my name on it, birth certificate, driver's license and voter registration card. ALL OF WHICH THEY ASKED TO SEE.

I didn't see one Hispanic have to pull out paperwork.

    I'd say ACORN succeeded.

Call and Fax. We need to take this country back. There are so many here that they vote in their pals to political positions. It's only a matter of time if we don't stand up. For God's sake, Obama's aunt is here illegally and he see no reason to do anything. Plus, she is living in government housing.

    Call and Fax.
