Meuser focuses on background as businessman
CLARKS SUMMIT — ConÂ*gressional candidate Dan Meuser said little about his views on illegal immigration at a forum hosted by the Abington Council of GovernÂ*ments on Thursday night and instead spoke at length about applying his business experience to government.
In the 75-minute event at Clarks Summit Elementary School, he spent 40 seconds answering a question about immigration.
He did not address it in his opening speech.
When asked by an audience member about his opinion on the topic, the candidate — who often gestured and projected his voice throughout the rest of the evening — answered quiÂ*etly and with little elaboration.
“I do not believe that it makes much sense for illegal immigrants to have an easier path to citizenship than legal immigrants,â€
