    SHENANDOAH — The Border Angels, a San Diego-based advocacy group in support of immigrant rights and reform of the immigration system, will be in Shenandoah on Valentine’s Day for a prayer vigil in memory of the late Luis Eduardo Ramirez Zavala, who died from injuries suffered in a July 12 beating.

    The prayer vigil service and a press conference will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 38 E. Oak St.

    The beating death has led to criminal homicide charges filed against Brandon J. Piekarsky and Colin J. Walsh, both 17 and of Shenandoah Heights. Piekarsky and Walsh also face additional charges. A third teen, Derrick M. Donchak, 18, of Shenandoah, faces aggravated assault and other charges. The three teens will be tried together in the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas by order of President Judge William E. Baldwin.

    The visit of the Border Angels to Shenandoah will be part of the group’s “Marcha Migrante IV,â€
