You're right, Count -- it isn't, but, actually that wasn't the question. Your question was:

And who do we send back? The government has made sure it's all but impossible to know how many are here illegally in the first place.

And since we know it's impossible to deport them, how exactly do we "send them back"?
It's not about whether or not it WILL be done, it's about HOW it can be done.

Now, for part II -- will it be done -- only if, we the people, but our congressmen's backs against the wall and make it perfectly clear as to what we want - and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE for getting it done. To me, that's the key. No backing down.

We've got to get the American people to realize that it's not impossible to have these people gone - but it will take work. My fear is that most of America is too apathetic to do anything about it, and that's why the government gets away with doing what THEY want.

I agree that the Pence plan is the one that they're going to try to go with.

But they'll NEVER get them to go back.

I guarantee that George Bush could give them the most serious executive order with threats of punishments attached and the only attention the people who are illegally in America would give him would be their middle finger.

When it comes to illegal immigrants this administration even if they wanted to have control over them could not.

Why ? Because you can't let people get away with what they've allowed them to get away with and then suddenly say, "Hey, you have to listen to us now." George Bush wouldn't even dare attempt to give illegal aliens in America an order of any kind because he knows the result of it would be so embarrassing for him and his administration. They know it.

That's another reason why they're trying to take the easy path to AVOID the embarrassment.

A NEW admninistration if they started out in control and let them know from the beginning that they're not playing games would be far more convincing to illegals that they need to be taken seriously.

Ask an illegal alien if they would follow any order given to them by George Bush. You'll get your answer real fast. They already know what their answer would be. They don't even have to think about it.

Which is another reason why their idea of granting amnesty to those who have been here for whatever period of time it would backfire too. The ones granted amnesty will just harbor the illegals and would even allow themselves to be arrested "in the name of justice for illegal aliens".

That's because these people have not been indoctrinated in the rule of law which we Americans take very seriously. Many of these people disregard it, they take it lightly and when push comes to shove they will totally ignore it.

We saw that in Miami with the Elian Gonzales case. Clinton ordered Elian to be handed over and returned to his father ..............you know the rest of the story. Did the family doing the harboring and ignoring of what they were ordered to do have any consequences.....of course not.
EVEN the mayor of Miami, of Cuban decent, IGNORED the order !!!

And look at the irony in the whole thing.......they want to give the people who have succeeded in getting away with breaking the law for the longest the reward !!!

Our government is just setting themselves and US up for a lot more problems down the road.

There's only one answer....Go after the "employers of illegal aliens with extreme determination."

Of course that means GWB going after his friends who give him money and votes in exchange for him letting them get away with hiring cheap labor and not paying Americans a liveable wage.

So now, where does that leave the American people ??
