    EDINBURG — Two men pleaded guilty Friday for their roles in a fatal San Juan home invasion allegedly ordered by the Gulf Cartel last year.

    Lucas Hernandez Peña, 43, and Oscar Gomez, 22, pleaded guilty to murder charges Friday in the 206th state District Court.

    San Juan police arrested the men after they stormed into a home last May on the 2000 block of Sunset Drive and killed 21-year-old Roberto Hinojosa in front of his wife and young son.

    The men claimed they were hired by the Gulf Cartel to kidnap Hinojosa, who had stolen more than a ton of marijuana — an action Hinojosa’s family still finds difficult to believe.
