Police say attack on group in car may be hate crime
OCEANSIDE: A group of black men bashed a car early yesterday and yelled slurs against the Latino men and women inside in what police are calling a possible hate crime.

One victim's face was cut by broken glass when a baseball bat shattered his passenger window, Oceanside police Officer Kim Rainwater said.

The victims, two Latino men and two women in their late teens and early 20s, had been walking on the beach. They were getting into their car at North Pacific Street and Surfrider Way when they were confronted by six black men, who appeared to be in their 20s, Rainwater said.

The six men allegedly made derogatory comments about the other group's race. The victims drove away, but were held up by a train passing at Mission Avenue and North Myers Street. Rainwater said the other group caught up to the victims and started beating on the sedan with bats, breaking some windows. Then they left in a dark blue or black two-door Ford Explorer.

Rainwater said investigators would like to interview other motorists who witnessed the assault at the intersection about 3 a.m. –P.R.

Nope, sorry this is not a hate crime..the murder of Jamiel Shaw by a Mexican illegal alien gang-banger NOW that was a HATE CRIME.

Yea, I noticed how the alledged victims didn't mention what provoked the attack. Sounds like they got schooled.
