This license plate will sell like crazy in Miami-Dade, possibly Broward, and probably Hillsborough (Tampa) and a county or two next door to Tampa, but NORTH FLORIDIANS won't go for this.

Why does the organization Hispanicachievers get free ad on each plate?
The plates are made and paid for by the state, not that organization.

By having this plate, it is a way for people to basically say that Florida is "theirs."

You are so right. My wife says when she lived in Argentina she was considered white, now she lives in America she is referred to as Hispanic, which would be like being a "brown" in Argentina. She now refuses to speak Spanish and has no desire to be associated with Mexicans/Hispanics.

It's funny how a TAN supposedly defines a non-existant "race". I'm white in the winter and brown in the summer, what am I?

I feel the same as your wife, I refuse to speak Spanish outside my home and my race is CAUCASIAN. I get tired of being asked if I'm sure I noted the correct race on forms. I'm told if I mark "hispanic", I am "entitled" to special "considerations". I never get an answer when I ask what "special considerations would I be entitled to as a "hispanic"? That's when the person starts hemming and hawing and apologizing for making the mistake of profiling me. DISGRACEFUL!

HISPANICS DISCOVERED FLORIDA.....LOL. EVEN IF YOU SAY THE SPANIARDS DISCOVERED FLORIDA IT WOULD BE INCORRECT. FLORIDA WAS NOT A STATE AT THE TIME.....AND I AM PRETTY SURE THERE WERE AMERICAN INDIANS THERE ALSO.
