A public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption says it is insane for illegal aliens to demand that American taxpayers foot the bill for their organ transplants.

Dozens of illegal aliens, reportedly all from Mexico, recently converged outside a prestigious Chicago-area medical facility to protest the hospital's policy that patients must be in the country legally to qualify for an organ transplant procedure. These operations could cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars, running into the millions if complications arise.

Fitton, Tom (Judicial Watch)The U.S. government already spends upwards of $4 billion a year to provide medical care to illegal aliens, so Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, is not surprised by the brazen way these illegals made their demands.

"It is insanity, but rational given our state of disarray on illegal aliens and their status here in the United States, where the law is being ignored," Fitton admits. "They are not being deported as they're supposed to be; President Obama has decided in large measure to stop deporting illegal aliens. They're at the point where they're demanding government subsidies for healthcare and other taxpayer-provided benefits."

While he thinks it is courageous for the Chicago hospital to refuse to cave to their demands, the Judicial Watch president believes the government will ultimately force hospitals to provide these expensive procedures to illegals.
