Citing "community feedback," the advertising company responsible for a Los Angeles area billboard that places L.A. in Mexico has announced it will revise the ad by Friday.

As WorldNetDaily reported, a billboard ad for KRCA, channel 62, a Spanish-language news station, has the "CA" abbreviation after "Los Angeles" crossed out and the word "Mexico" added in its place in bold red letters.

In the center of the billboard, placed within the L.A. skyline, is an image of the Angel of Independence, a well-known monument in Mexico City, further suggesting the merging of Los Angeles and Mexico.

It also says, "Tu Ciudad. Tu Equipo," or "Your City. Your Team."

Activist group Americans for Legal Immigration first publicized the presence of the billboard along a Southern California freeway, prompting outrage from many in the L.A. area and across the country. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger weighed in last week, saying the billboard should come down.

"I think they should take it down immediately," Schwarzenegger told KFI radio.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration, is declaring victory after receiving an e-mail from Clear Channel. The note said:

"In response to community feedback, Clear Channel Outdoor spoke with the local advertiser and reached agreement on revised ad copy. That copy is expected to be posted by 5/6/05. Anyone seeking further comment is invited to contact the TV station directly. Channel 62 phone 818-563-5722."

Americans for Legal Immigration says there were 75 billboards placed in various places in the L.A. area.

Yesterday, the organization noted someone had placed a U.S. flag over the word Mexico on one of the billboards in protest.

VICTORY!! We need to keep an "eye" on them. 75 signs...that's alot to check out. We need public disclosure of all the locations and evidence that they have all been removed or repainted and.....I think we need to inquire as to the purpose of their Multicultual Promotion?????

To whom it may concern,

This is just one opinion and it might of already been brought to peoples attention. The sign takes what American Marines and Soldiers are doing over sea's right now. I am pretty sure that they fight for all in the United States of America. They do not fight for Mexico. Lets not forgeet about that.

kplumb--Welcome!! Your point is an excellent point and while we have had some posts about how unhappy the troops would be to know all that is going on here while they are away, you are the FIRST to make the point about how unhappy and hurt they would be to see a sign like that on American Soil!!

Look forward to seeing more posts from you and your thoughts. We are an active and chatty group!! Also mad as heck about what's going on with illegal immigration and the failure of our government to enforce the law.

We're trying to figure out WHY? That's why you'll see some topics that appear unrelated but they are related....the search for the reason which we are convinced is the Open Borders, CAFTA and NAFTA....using illegal immigration to flood our nation with aliens allegiant to a foreign government.
