Rhode Island’s new governor has killed crucial measures to crack down on illegal immigration for the sake of statewide economic growth and prosperity in “immigrant-rich areas.â€

Rhode Island's unemployment rate is 11.2%, so figure c.15% when involuntary part timers are added in. And this guy thinks that he can have a vibrant business community, based on accomodating illegals?

Actually he sounds just like the president of the Chamber of Commerce, who thinks that despite 27 million Americans being unemployed or underemployed, we should be granting amnesty to illegals.

What part of desperate do these people not understand?

I'm in Rhode island and sooooooooo upset!!!! Did you know that there are some companies who now require you to be bilingual just to get a friggin factory job? This is NOT the America i grew up in! My God, when will this insanity end????

Yeah...you have to be bilingual (speak spanish) in order to communicate with the illegal invaders (the illegal invaders are not bilingual) these scum bag companies hire because the invaders they hire refuse to speak English. In turn wages are suppressed for those Americans who are lucky enough to still be able to get a job in such a place - that is if they speak spanish....

It's a sad commentary to Rhode Island when their new Governor thinks the only hope they have for "economic growth" is breaking US immigration, US labor and US civil rights laws to grow poverty, unemployment and underemployment of US citizens living in Rhode Island.

Oh Thank you soooooo much for sending an e-mail to the idiot! I really appreciate it!!!!! I mean, here we are the smallest State of all and we have so many problems with illegals! I have been living off of my savings, but that won't last forever. I don't even have medical coverage and these illegals have all their needs met and are catered to! This is so wrong!
