Immigrant-rights activists to join Washington rally

PROVIDENCE — Representatives of Rhode Island faith communities and immigrant activists will join a Sept. 12 national rally and boycott in Washington in the name of Elvira Arellano, a 32-year-old Mexican illegal immigrant deported last week after leaving a church sanctuary in Chicago.

Federal agents arrested Arellano — an icon of the immigration-reform movement to some and flagrant lawbreaker to others — in Los Angeles, two days after she left the Adalberto United Methodist Church in Chicago, where she spent a year defying federal deportation orders that would have separated her from her 8-year-old son, Saulito, a U.S. citizen.

“Elvira Arellano’s spirits are strong. Her wings have not been clipped nor has [her] voice been silenced as ICE [federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement] had planned,â€

The Rhode Island affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union is pressing a separate federal lawsuit that alleges constitutional violations based on racial profiling. That lawsuit is pending.

The van driver was stopped because of racial profiling? How could the officer racially profile the driver if he stopped him for failing to signal a lane change, which would, of course, indicate that the officer was behind the van?

What in the hell is wrong with these people?

Hopefully after a few attempts at thwarting justice and losing these Pro-Illegals will get the message.........

Also I think if a officer suspects you are an Illegal they should have the right to check. It sounds like the people in the van were newly smuggled in arrivals. What kind of defense could they have ?

Why, they will of course claim to have been abducted from their native country by the driver of the van and promptly request asylum.

When they are accused of something, they always use the race card, as if this excuses them from the crime they've commited. They have had to be rehursed, probably by Fox, Bush and La Racists.
