Catholic Charities Caper; Alms for Illegal Aliens
By Jan Herron

As citizens mounting nationwide campaigns to end all public assistance to illegal aliens, we could easily overlook an important source of "safety-net assistance" to illegal aliens: government funding to "non-profit" groups who knowingly and intentionally provide assistance to illegal aliens. Federal law (USC Title 8, Chapter 12, subchapter II, Section 1324) has a name for this: "aiding and abetting illegal immigration." It's a crime punishable by a fine and/or jail time. Several seemingly "faith-based" groups are involved (Lutheran Social Services, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, American Friends Service Committee), but the largest is Catholic Charities USA.

Jan Herron is involved with the illegal immigration effort in Colorado, but writes excellent columns for the Magic City Newspapers in the North East. Her columns are at..

Be clear about this: these groups Ms. Herron is talking about have the money and the people to change laws they do not like. But these groups are not doing that: they have reverted to illegal tactics and essentially, as all illegal tactics are, have thugged us with a great deal of help for the illegal aliens. Send something to congress about these groups ... please!
We obey the law.. they obey the law. Or we all DON'T obey the law.
Jan Herron is a good read.

These idiots have been protesting in KS and NE pretty hard. They protested for a few days at NE capitol, and the only bill that was even presented to a committee was LB239 (illegals getting in-state tuition), and 4 of us from PNN, and Susan Tully from FAIR rained on their parade, and most likely killed the bill in committee. There is very little chance that bill will make it to the legislature floor, and if it does not, it can not be introduced for 2 years (legsilature rules). We will have our initative drive done and 2 ballots up for vote by then. By that time, the state WILL be awake, so they will not be able to put bills forward like that, hopefully ever again. Let these foolz rant, let'm rave. THEN shut down what they want to have passed.
Husker.

Illegals protest
What a system. Illegals announce that they will be protesting on a certain day and ICE shoes up with buses to drive them home.
How much easier can it get.

I could have answered that myself, but we need some hope.
It is quite galling that we have illegals flaunting themselves and
nobody wants to do anything about it.
A few years ago, didn't the INS have a crackdown in some of the meatpacking plants in NE that Washington put the kabosh on?http://www.alipac.us Enforce immigration laws!

No, not washington, but CHUCK the F- HAGAL. That is one of the goals of our PNN group, is to see that chucky has an upcoming retirement.
Also, once we have enough signatures for our petitions, WE will work at shutting down some meat plants with nothing more than a camera servellence "blitz". One of our initiative will also attack any person or business for using the "unfair trade practice" of providing for, or employing illegal aliens.
