Thread: Reid Says Illegal Alien Is 'More of a Nevadan by Far' Than U.S. Sen. Heck

Since federal law is so broad-----from the time of George Washington they have been warning about foreign influence----I am seeing an overlapping of laws that should prevent illegal immigration. And actually prevent anyone who advocates any policy that suspends federal law.

I looked at the Commerce Clause in Article 1, Section 8. The federal government regulates commerce with foreign nations. What exactly do you call it when people enter the US illegally, engage in black market economic activities, and then send a lot of that money out of the country, while skipping out on US taxes? I would call it FOREIGN COMMERCE. The states are not allowed to regulate that. Only Congress.

Then there is the Treaty Clause of Sec. 10. Again states cannot enter into any treaties with foreign countries. So what do you call it when they start laying out special rules for citizens from certain countries? It sure looks like a treaty that goes past what the federal government wants, which on the contrary is to highly regulate foreigners coming in to the US. What gives States the right to set a different standard?

Then there are the lobbying laws in other federal acts. These were to prevent foreigners from seeking to influence our officials---unless they make known the details of what they want, who is paying them, and who they represent. This is just fair play under Diplomatic Protocol.

Moreover, since foreigners are doing these things surreptitiously----and avoiding fair payment----there is an obstruction of governmental administration via economic interference taking place. This is part of the gist of one of our state laws against interfering with governmental administration:

(in part) 1)A person commits the crime of obstructing governmental or judicial administration if the person intentionally obstructs, impairs or hinders the administration of law or other governmental or judicial function by means of intimidation, force, physical or economic interference or obstacle.

Since it is generally known that these things are taking place, these activities are a conspiracy to subvert federal standards.
