Rep. Charlie Norwood, RIP
Rep. Charlie Norwood, RIP
By Michelle Malkin · February 13, 2007 02:25 PM
U.S. Rep. Charlie Norwood, 65, passed away this morning at his Augusta home following an extensive battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and non-small cell lung cancer.
Norwood received a single lung transplant in 2004 as treatment for IPF, and developed non-small cell lung cancer in 2005.
Norwood represented the Augusta-to-Athens 10th congressional district since 1995, and was re-elected in November 2006 by a landslide margin.
FoxNews.com has more.
He was a stalwart supporter of immigration enforcement and border security, sponsor of the CLEAR Act, and a staunch conservative standard-bearer willing to stand up to the ethnic mau-mauers. He will be missed.

I never met the man personally, the closest I got was John Stone, his LA.
I've gotten boxes of letters from Charlie's office in response to my phone calls, faxes and letters. His love of this country and his desire to serve it's Constitutional principles were obvious by his performance in office and the loyalty of his constituency. His was a voice of sage reason that will sorely be missed in this Congress.
Godspeed Charlie, and Thank You!
