“Namby-pamby liberal types” in Hollywood should get rid of the walls around their own homes before they start whining about efforts to build a border wall to keep Americans safe, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) declared Tuesday.

Hollywood liberals should “shut up” as long as they have border walls around their own homes that average Americans simply can’t afford, Gohmert said an interview on Fox Business Channel.

“All of these namby-pamby liberal types – they need to quit lying and being hypocritical. They either need to shut up about the wall or eliminate the walls around their own homes. If they don’t work, if they want everything open – tear down their walls!”

“The rest of us don’t have their kind of money to protect ourselves.”

At the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, Hollywood celebrities used their nationally-televised platform to voice their political opposition to President Donald Trump’s efforts to build a wall to protect the nation’s southern border.
