PORT CLINTON, Ohio — Border Patrol agents from Detroit Sector arrested a criminal alien who was
illegally present in the United States.

Sandusky Bay Station arrests criminal alien
In February 2020, Border Patrol agents assigned to Sandusky Bay Station received information on a known criminal alien who had reentered the country illegally. On March 3, Agents acting on the provided intelligence were able to locate and apprehend the suspect in Sandusky. The subject was transported to the Border Patrol station for processing.

During processing it was confirmed that the subject, Carlos Murillo-Maldonado, a 51-year- old Mexican male, has multiple domestic violence convictions in Ohio. Additionally, Murillo had been ordered formally removed by an immigration judge in 2007 and 2013. Murillo’s prior order of removal will be reinstated.

“This apprehension is the result of cooperation between the Border Patrol and our law enforcement partners.” said Chief Patrol Agent Douglas Harrison. “The work we do with outside partners which leads to significant arrests is another reason I am so proud of the men and women of Detroit Sector.”

Murillo has been turned over to ICE/ERO pending removal from the United States.
