Ron Paul supports the free movement of commerce and people across the borders, he's a free trader. Furthermore, he has supported amnesty in the past. This fact can be verified through his voting record at NumbersUSA. IMO, Ron Paul is not quite the darling you think him to be where illegal immigration and border security are concerned.

That's true, MW. Republicans are the ones who have stopped both amnesty attempts fighting against even their own President.

Some high-profile Republicans are adopting a softer vocabulary on immigration and trying to recruit more Hispanic candidates, ...

BS, there are plenty of Hispanic candidates willing to run for office that oppose illegal immigration and amnesty, like Cuban immigrant Tony Dolz (http://www.tonydolz.com/) but they are marganilzed by these power elite who acutally want Globalization and cheap labor, not "Hispanic candidates".

He told the rally his mother had instilled him the values of Cesar Chavez, the Chicano activist who fought for the rights of migrant farmworkers in the United States.

Good, now just like your hero, call Immigration and report illegals. Ask for them to be deported to protect farm worker jobs.

Off with their RINO heads, do the same thing to them we did to Bob Bennett of Utah and others who think that hispandering is going to get them somewhere with hispanics, it will never happen. If this worked Amnesty John McCain would be President. Reagan gave them the last amnesty and they all became DemoRATS. DEPORT them so they can't vote illegally like everything else they do. Quit thinking that passing out amnesty is going to yield result to Republicans, it never will.
