    Rick Perry Is Finished

    For National Release

    September 23, 2011

CONTACT: Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)
    Press@alipac.us (866) 703-0864

Texas Governor Perry destroyed his chances of winning the GOP Presidential primary during last night's debate when he defended his support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens which is opposed by 81% of all Americans.

"Rick Perry proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is not the right choice for America by supporting these radical illegal immigration attracting measures," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Perry's support for in-state tuition for illegals forces taxpayers to pay to replace their own children in the limited seats in our colleges!"

Prior to 2005, several states like Texas passed in-state tuition for illegals into law without adequate public or lawmaker debate and knowledge.

In 2005, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC defeated North Carolina's HB 1183's In-state tuition for illegal immigrants and then went on to use new strategies to defeat similar measures in 20 other states. Americans for Legal Immigration PAC has become a top voice in America representing the over 80% of US citizens opposed to this measure.

Rick Perry was heavily booed for the second time last night as he continued to promote in-state tuition for illegal aliens.

Mitt Romney opposed Perry's positions and pointed out that Perry's in-state tuition for illegal aliens law was forcing Texans to pay approximately $100,000 in tax monies to support each of the current 16,000 illegal immigrants in Texas colleges.

Romney went on to paraphrase ALIPAC's platform "Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement" which includes adequately enforcing America's existing immigration and border laws by cracking down on employers, securing the borders, and removing taxpayer benefits for illegals like Perry's tuition breaks.

"GOP voters cannot vote for Rick Perry now without legitimizing and supporting in-state tuition for illegal immigrants," said William Gheen. "Perry has assured his own defeat despite the fact that he is receiving so much support and favoritism from globalist groups in the media. It is clear to me that the globalists who are responsible for illegal immigration in America are using their power to promote Rick Perry at this time."

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) has just released a new study illustrating that 81% of the 'new jobs' created in Texas under Rick Perry have been taken by legal and illegal immigrants instead of suffering American citizens.

ALIPAC's 'Perry Is Finished' Release Goes Viral Across America!

    Friends of ALIPAC,

We want each of you to know that ALIPAC's press release titled "Rick Perry Is Finished" has gone completely viral on the web and in the main stream media.

Despite intense and protracted efforts to silence us and prevent news agencies from quoting us, we have succeeded once again.

The false and defamatory attacks by numerous multimillion dollar organizations that support amnesty and the illegal immigration invasion of America, such as ADL, SPLC, NAACP, LULAC, MALDEF, and La Raza, have failed to stop ALIPAC's ability to remain a notable national organization.

It is clear to all that ALIPAC is a national leader in the fight against illegal immigration and against Amnesty, and that we are influencing which candidates will or will not win races for Congress, US Senate, and the Presidency.

Our national press release and the materials contained in it have been picked up by major wire services Reuters and Associated Press as well as Fox News. Our position that Rick Perry just destroyed his chances due to his support for in-state tuition benefits for illegal aliens appears in hundreds of newspapers across America today.

Our "Rick Perry Is Finished" national press release has been read over 17,000 time on our website while Google shows us the term "Rick Perry Is Finished" has quickly risen from a few mentions to over 4,700 websites now carrying all or part of ALIPAC's release.

As Americans opened their Sunday papers, our web traffic at www.ALIPAC.us set new historic records with over 26,000 pages of our site viewed between 9-10am ET alone!

If you were to try to put a price tag on how much this amount of exposure would cost you in advertising to the American public, the tab would be in the millions.

But we have accomplished this with a minuscule budget because we are trying our best to speak for the 81% of Americans of all races, political parties, and walks of life that have said NO in the polls and surveys regarding taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens.

Thanks to you, millions of Americans are hearing ALIPAC's message this weekend.

Many of you have heard the news that Perry lost the Florida GOP straw poll and Herman Cain won. Fox News reports that voting delegates in Florida cite Perry's unpopular comments about illegal immigration as their reason for not voting for him.

Rick Perry has destroyed his own chances at winning the GOP Presidential nomination, and our job has been to inform and educate the media and public on this issue.

We are accomplishing that in a grand fashion but we have much more work to do.

This coming week, we have to make sure that more Americans find out about Rick Perry's support for illegal aliens to assure his support levels continue to fall.

Then, we will have the historic example of Rick Perry's political implosion as a warning to all traitorous candidates and lawmakers that would stand on the side of the illegal immigrant invasion of American against the rising American defenders.

We have placed many of the major news articles from Fox News, Associated Press, Texas Tribune, Dallas Morning News, and Reuters UK on our homepage at www.ALIPAC.us for you to review.

Special thanks to all of our allies out there that reported, posted, forwarded, and relayed our timely and direct release!

Special welcome to the numerous new supporters that have joined ALIPAC's email alerts in the last 48 hours in response to our national press coverage and popularly supported positions.

    More great things to come!

Rick Perry loses Florida straw poll!

Perry placed all his hopes on Florida. He was expected to win big. But, by strongly supporting illegal immigration, he turned off enough voters to make Herman Cain the winner of the Florida straw poll!

Perry could muster just 15 percent of the vote, despite making an all-out effort. Even Mitt Romney, who wasn’t officially competing in the straw poll, got 14 percent.

This is the beginning of the end of Perry’s candidacy; but we should work to make sure he is not our nominee. We cannot afford to have a Republican presidential nominee who thinks a border fence is “idiocy,â€

Rick Perry Immigration Policy Favoring Education Comes Under Fire

    September 24, 2011 02:15 PM EDT

    Gather Politics

Rick Perry faces intense criticism for his stance on education for the children of illegal immigrants. For Perry, immigration has become an issue that could jeopardize his nomination as the Republican candidate for president.

Representatives from conservative groups like The Family Leader, Americans for Legal Immigration and The Tea Party Nation are less than thrilled with Perry's support for providing education benefits for the children of illegal immigrants. In particular, a spokesperson for Americans for Legal Immigration said, "Rick Perry is finished."

Other Republican candidates are stepping up their campaign activities in Iowa to take advantage of Rick Perry's recent lack of favor. Both Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann will be increasing their campaign presence in the state as they try to recapture the attention Perry stole from them when he announced his bid for the presidential race six weeks ago.

In defense of his immigration policy, Perry argues for the rights of all children to receive an education. He reasons that the children are not the ones who decided to enter the country illegally and have committed no crime. To deprive them of education, "I don't think you have a heart," was Perry's opinion in a Fox News/Google debate earlier this week in Orlando, FL.

As a conservative Republican candidate, Rick Perry is having trouble aligning his opinions to his party, and sticking to his original voting record. It will be interesting to see if the more consistent Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann can capitalize on Perry's vulnerable position.

There is also the facts below regarding hiring of illegals over American citizens by Texas. Between 2007 & 2011 jobs increased by 279k with 225k jobs going to illegals.

New research by Dr. Steve Camarota at the Center for Immigration Studies finds that 81% of the jobs created in Texas between the years 2007 and 2011 went to newly-arrived immigrants. Conclusions were based on an analysis of data from the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey.

The new research also finds that:

In terms of numbers, between the second quarter of 2007, right before the recession began, and the second quarter of 2011, total employment in Texas increased by 279,000. Of this, 225,000 jobs went to immigrants (legal and illegal) who arrived in the United States in 2007 or later.
Of newly arrived immigrants who took a job in Texas, 93 percent were not U.S. citizens. Thus government data show that more than three-fourths of net job growth in Texas were taken by newly arrived non-citizens (legal and illegal).
The large share of job growth that went to immigrants is surprising because the native-born accounted for 69 percent of the growth in Texas’ working-age population (16 to 65). Thus, even though natives made up most of the growth in potential workers, most of the job growth went to immigrants.
The share of working-age natives holding a job in Texas declined significantly, from 71 percent in 2007 to 67 percent in 2011. This decline is very similar to the decline for natives in the United States as a whole and is an indication that the situation for native-born workers in Texas is very similar to the overall situation in the country despite the state’s job growth.
Of newly arrived immigrants who took jobs in Texas since 2007, we estimate that 50 percent (113,000) were illegal immigrants. Thus, about 40 percent of all the job growth in Texas since 2007 went to newly arrived illegal immigrants and 40 percent went to newly arrived legal immigrants.
Immigrants took jobs across the educational distribution. More than one out three (97,000) of newly arrived immigrants who took a job had at least some college.
These numbers raise the question of whether it makes sense to continue the current high level of legal immigration and also whether to continue to tolerate illegal immigration.

The full report can be found at the Center for Immigration Studies' website.

A friend sent me this site, this is the cost for only one county in Texas. Perry might save the state some money if he supported building the fence, enforcing the law and would quit rewarding the illegals.

This database shows how much federal money local counties received to jail illegal immigrants and those suspected of being illegal immigrants between 2007 and 2009. The database also shows how many illegal immigrants the agencies jailed each year and how many days they were jailed.
The figures come from the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The agencies run a program called the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP), which pays states and municipalities that spend resources incarcerating undocumented criminal aliens for at least four consecutive days.

    Reporting Period 7-1-07 to 6-30-08
    Solicitation Year 2009
    State TX
    Application Number 2009-F9198-TX-AP
    APPLICANT NAME County of Hidalgo
    AWARD NUMBER 2009-AP-BX-0214
    FINAL AWARD AMOUNT $672,794.00
    TOTAL CO STAFF 322
    TOTAL CO SALARY $8,942,083.45
    TOTAL BED COUNT 1,200

Perry is hounded by charges of 'crony capitalism'

By DAVE MONTGOMERY - McClatchy Newspapers

    DAVE MONTGOMERY McClatchy Newspapers
    Sunday, Sep. 25, 2011

AUSTIN, Texas -- In 2008, Larry Soward, one of three commissioners for the Texas environmental regulatory agency, cast the lone dissenting vote against licensing a controversial low-level nuclear disposal site in far West Texas.

Looking back now, Soward says, "it didn't take too much of a rocket scientist" to conclude that the project - pushed by one of Gov. Rick Perry's biggest political donors - would ultimately be approved.

Dallas multibillionaire Harold Simmons' successful quest to build the facility is encountering renewed scrutiny now that his political beneficiary is a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.

Simmons has donated $1.2 million to Perry's campaigns for governor since 2001 and is Perry's second-largest individual contributor, according to Texans for Public Justice, a state watchdog organization. He also has given $100,000 to an independent political action committee that sought to wage a write-in candidacy for Perry in the Iowa straw poll this year.

Perry's connections with powerful Texas business interests during his nearly 11 years as governor have emerged as an issue in his presidential race, drawing charges from opponents that Perry's time as Texas governor has been marked by a pattern of "crony capitalism."

After the release of Perry's financial statement last week, Texans for Public Justice reported that three of the 37 companies in which Perry has stock holdings received public money from the governor's job-creating Texas Enterprise Fund.

State Rep. Lon Burnam of Fort Worth, a leading opponent of Simmons' nuclear waste application, also uses the term "crony capitalism" to describe the years-long regulatory and legislative effort that ultimately gave Simmons a monopoly over low-level nuclear waste disposal in Texas. Legislation passed this year allows up to 36 states, including Texas, to dump their nuclear refuse in a red-clay landfill at the 1,388-acre site just inside the Texas-New Mexico state line.

The successful outcome of the licensing effort - the nation's first nuclear waste site to be approved in three decades - was another stunning business coup for Simmons, an 80-year-old investor whose net worth was $9.3 billion as of September. He is one of Dallas' leading philanthropists and, according to Forbes magazine, is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who is a close friend of team owner Jerry Jones. He rarely gives interviews and was not available for this story.

Like Houston homebuilder Bob Perry, the governor's largest individual contributor, Simmons is also a big-money donor in races outside of Texas, contributing more than $4 million over the past decade, according to press accounts. He and his wife, Annette, were jointly ranked as the 76th biggest donors in the country in the 2010 election cycle with $224,000 in donations, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Simmons also gave $2,500 to Perry's rival Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, before Perry entered the race in mid-August.

But Simmons' political influence is most apparent in his home state. Since the mid-1990s, Simmons' Waste Control Specialists has successfully lobbied the legislature to privatize nuclear waste disposal - once a function of state government - and prevailed in the long regulatory battle to license the West Texas facility. In the 150-member state House of Representatives, 77 of those who voted in May to allow additional states to use the facility received Simmons' donations totaling $138,350, according to Texans for Public Justice.

    Slippery slope for ‘slick’ Rick
    By Howie Carr

I never thought Rick Perry was going to be the next Ronald Reagan. But who knew he’d turn out to be the next Mumbles Menino?

At least the governor of Texas picked the right place to turn into a pumpkin — Orlando, home of Disney World.

That GOP debate Thursday night was a political NASCAR race. All the fans got what they came for — a massive crack-up on the far turn. Remember two weeks ago when everyone said Rick Perry was ready for prime time. It turned out to be a “monstrous lie,â€
