    Rumblings in U.S.-Mexico relationship

    Rumblings in U.S.-Mexico relationship

The ties that link Mexico and the United States are deep and binding. Yet despite the wide set of interests we share, cooperation between the two countries has been – at times and perhaps at risk of understatement – a struggle.

While we’ve seen an extraordinary amount of engagement from U.S. and Mexican officials, clearly frustration is mounting on both sides of the border as no one appears satisfied with the pace of progress on security and immigration.

Arizona’s recently passed immigration law is a bit akin to pouring gasoline on a small brushfire.

Mexican President Felipe Calderón minced few words recently when he said Arizona’s new law “opens the door to intolerance, hate, discrimination and abuse in law enforcement.â€

    As long as

As long as they teach hatred of Anglo/white people, Aztlan/Reconqista, MECHa, La Raza etc etc there can be no partnership. There is too much racism and nationalism in Mexican culture and society for them to peacefully mingle with non mexicans,,,

    .

The reality, Mexico can grumble all they want. They can boycott America if they want, they can cut off diplomatic ties with us.

They need our money, plain and simple

They have a fast growing ecomomy, and it is partly fueled by the fact they dont take care of their uneducated and poor...thye let us do it.

so let them scream and yell....when they have financial issues, they will change their tune

Second that Tbow. And as long as Mexico is so inferior morally and economically, there should be no partnership either.

What I'd like answered just once is this: What has Mexico EVER brought to the table in this so-called "mutual relationship" we keep hearing so much about?

We give, they take. When we don't, in their opinion, give enough, they steal it. They are an abject failure and we owe them. We put our foot down, and oh well hell, the gloves comes off and they're just going to show us a thing or two and take over the entire continent.........

Sounds like grounds for a divorce if ya ask me

Sounds like Mexico wants a one-way relationship. We take their poor and uneducated and give them all the benefits available to our citizens and Mexico takes our money (remittances and aid payments).
