SC: State plans to pass illegal immigration bill

State plans to pass its own illegal immigration bill
    MICHAEL WELLES SHAPIRO

Two state senators told Hilton Head Island residents Thursday that the South Carolina legislature is expected to pass a far-reaching illegal immigration bill by February.

Sens. Catherine Ceips, R-Beaufort, and Jim Ritchie, R-Spartanburg, fielded questions from more than 100 residents who turned out for the midmorning meeting and who mostly supported the idea of statewide action to halt illegal immigration.

Ritchie and Ceips spent about 20 minutes promoting the legislative effort before turning things over to the animated crowd, which voiced strong opinions and delivered spirited speeches on the issue of illegal immigration.

Richard Dolan said, “The reason we have this problem is employers are making billions,â€

Another cop out. What a joke. Like Zeezil's signature says, "If you can't do business legally, then you have no business being in business."

SC: State plans to pass illegal immigration bill -

Why is it that a lot of other states see the need to pass some kind of bill that addresses illegal immigration and the toll that is taking on the country except the state of North Carolina. Instead of doing what the other states are doing enacting laws to curb this problem, Our state government has embraced these people. Why do they think this state can't function without these illegals? What purpose are they serving to the state and how much impact can they have on the economy when you consider that they send most of what they earn home to Mexico or where ever they hail from. Also they don't pay for medical care and most of them receive food stamps. So how are they making the impact that we are being lied to about their big contributions to the state and federal economy? This is all a bunch of Bull----. and I'm sure a lot of you will agree with me on this one.

And why am I not holding my breath waiting for this to happen?

The South Carolina Legislature has passed 0 of 17 immigration bills this year.

The S.C. State Senate was so brave as to pass S*0531,
a resolution requesting the Governor to issue an executive order
making illegal aliens ineligible for food stamps or other assistance or services from DSS or any other state agency.

    Gutless and pathetic.
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!
