There is now a probability that our military knew Japan was going to attack through advanced espionage and still allowed it to happen so we could retaliate.The Hitler think is very important here.For whatever reason,guilt,whatever-look at the legacy here.We have forged a pack with Israel that will never allow us to remove our troops from the Middle East.Vietnam had nothing to do with Communism at first.It had to do with an oppressive Colonial rich country like France not wanting to lose the little bit it had left abroad.France's Southeast Asian colonies made a lot of rich Frenchmen even richer by having a corner on Europe's heroin market.Yes-we're the greatest nation on earth but we have flaws as well.Nobody makes a third world dictator like we do.Look at some of the leaders we've provided support for over the years in Cuba,Nicaragua,El Salvador,Mexico,Israel,Cambodia,Indonesia,Iran,Vie t Nam,the Phillipines,and various African nations.Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders actually had a gunfight with Black American troops in Florida before boarding their ship because of their hatred of Blacks.They also refused to help the Black Cuban freedom fighters when they arrived there.Just look at the amount of Black generals and admirals in our military.My own dad who was of Filipino/Spanish descent had to serve years as an officers porter in the navy-even though he was college educated and proficient in 4 languages.That was basically all the navy had for Filipinos at that time (the 1960s).The 'ol 'creme of wheat man' position.And he served 30 years until 1991.The only way to get a non-sterilized view of history is to find out both sides of the 'story'.

FYI: McCain has had mucho $$ interests in VietNam for years through his wife's company.

Kerry has MUCHO $$$$ interests in VietNam for years and was instrumental in getting the sanctions lifted AFTER his deals were firmed up and getting the US to normalize relations.

McCain has helped to gravely hurt the American Indian population in AZ and has hands in water & gas{?} legislation for a very large company.
