SOUTHEAST — A Mount Kisco man who is in the country illegally from Guatemala was arrested this week after he sold $1,200 worth of cocaine to an undercover officer with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, police said.
Juan Alberto Cruz, 22, of Smith Avenue is being held without bail today at the Putnam County jail in Carmel after his arrest at an undisclosed location on Route 22, police said.
Narcotics officers with the Sheriff's Office began their investigation in February after developing information that Cruz was going to Southeast regularly to conduct street-level sales of cocaine, Chief Investigator A. Gerald Schramek said in a statement.
Cruz met the undercover officer earlier this week — police did not say which day — conducted the sale and was arrested minutes later.
He faces three counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, one count of third-degree criminal sale and four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, police said.
He was arraigned before Town Justice Richard Vercollone and sent to the county jail, where officials determined he was in the country illegally from Guatemala. They notified immigration officials, who lodged a federal detainer against him.
The most serious charge, second-degree criminal sale, carries a prison term of three to 10 years.

Is this one of those jobs they claim Americans don't want to do now as well? I see it here in South Floirda as well.

He should get the full ten years in prison, get deported afterwards and then send the bill to Guatemala.
