Thread: Section of Nogales border fence painted white

That's very pretty, I like it a lot. Paint them all white. Stops the rust. Looks nice, friendly and homey for our residents as well. It is painted on both sides, right? Or do just the Mexicans get the pretty fence?

Probably a waste of money. These fences are see through to start with and BP shouldn't have a problem identifying climbers regardless of how "pretty" the fence is. This isn't suppose to be Trump's "big beautiful wall" is it? That beautiful white paint will get dirty, scratched off and damaged quickly.

A more comfortable aura for the illegal aliens to hang out near. And by keeping the fence from rusting, less change of infection if they scrape themselves climbing the wall. And let's not forget, it helps the bottom line for the paint company! And the white paint, being reflective, helps reduce global warming!

You're absolutely right, it's not Trump's wall or fence, that is an old fence that they painted, and while it does look a lot better, it won't keep climbers out. Maybe on their cameras they sit and look at inside their offices, they can't see them climbing over as well on that darker fence. I can see that being a problem. But if you're out there on the ground, you can see them scaling regardless of the color of the fence. I think it was for the cameras to create more contrast from a distance and maybe that will make it easier for BP. It looks nice though, and I like that. I think it's important that our borders fences and walls look nice, look pretty, as well as get the job done.

Most of us could care less how pretty or nice it looks, we're looking for functionality and effectiveness.
