The self-service portion of the E-Verify program is now called ‘myE-Verify,’ says USCIS

Thu, 2013-11-21 06:13 PMBy: Jacob Goodwin

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has changed the name of its E-Verify Self Check Program to myE-Verify, and has revised its estimate for how many individuals will check the status of their eligibility to work in the United States by using this Web-based program.

myE-Verify" will allow workers in the United States to enter data into the E-Verify system to ensure that the information relating to their eligibility to work is correct and accurate,” according to a USCIS notice published in the Federal Register on November 21.

USCIS that approximately 2.9 million individuals will perform an “Identity Authentication” within E-Verify; that 2,175,000 will use the Query function; and that 5,582 individuals will have “Further Action Pursued” within E-Verify.

“The features of myE-Verify are free and will provide individuals with a secure account that facilitates an ongoing relationship between the user and USCIS,” explains the notice.

The public can submit comments on the revised E-Verify program by visiting www.regulations.gov and citing docket number USCIS-2010-0014.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
