Sen. Hutchison in the Eye of Immigrant Groups
Sen. Hutchison in the Eye of Immigrant Groups

Several community organizations and individuals in defense of the immigrants and refugees hold a rally and vigil Thursday afternoon to continue their support and fight in favor of an immigration reform. The events coincide with the day the U.S. Senate reinitiates the debate on the amendments to the immigration reform bill which stalled in the higher chamber by partisan bickering two weeks ago.
ACORN, AMERICA PARA TODOS, CRECEN, FIEL, CITIZENS FOR UNITED FAMILIES and other groups have targeted U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison for what they call the unreasonable amendment presented by the senator from Texas.
According to the community groups the amendment proposed by Sen. Hutchison requires all potential applicants of the probationary "Z" visa to go back to the country of origin to apply for a temporary status. The defenders raised this question: Why do you threaten and attack immigrant families Senator Hutchison?
The organizations and individuals are calling for justice and compassion in granting status to the million of undocumented immigrants living in this nation without permanent or legal residency.

One ray of common sense so far, hurray for the Senator, they should go home before being allowed back in the US. legally.
SennodCan it be PROVEN that the United States still has a government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE? Or is it now a government by JUST A FEW RICH PEOPLE.

What about the families of Americans who are pushed to the breaking point? Any sympathy for them?
I would have some sympathy for illegals in rare circumstances. I saw a story about a family that had one child (and maybe another) with a very, very serious deformity. Assistance is available in Latin American countries through one of the religious or social sevice groups that Americans operate there. I think there should be help in very tragic circumstances. This would be agood job for the Sanctuary Movement people.
Anyone who goes to a foreign country on specifically economic purposes should understand that there are extra risks involved. Having been exposed to a slew of American science and innovation theyshould, like other explorers be able to take home a lot of useful information. Common Sense - Not really
From what I have read on this proposal from Hutchinson, is that is only a touchback provision.
The ideal that these groups are angry with Hutchinson is in all likelihood a farce to make it seem she is doing something tough.
What is tough about having only the head of household to cross the border fill out a sheet of paper or two then return back to his family presto zappo all legal and in the front of the line. They will now have legal status and can remain in the USA till the end of days, no matter what.

It simply amazes me that illegal aliens have groups, and more amazing that anyone pays them any mind. "Illegal Aliens should get to stay here!" What else would anyone expect them to say? Whats next...The Nation Council of Cat Burglars and Second Story Men, lobbying to make window locks illegal?
