LOS ANGELES, April 11 /Christian Wire Service/ -- A black conservative minister and staunch immigration reform advocate Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson today denounced Sen. Ted Kennedy for comparing pro-illegal immigration rallies to civil rights marches for blacks half a century ago. The Massachusetts Democrat, who is a proponent of a Senate plan that would open the way to citizenship for illegals, said recent illegal immigration rallies are “reminiscent of the civil rights movement.”

Rev. Peterson said, “Ted Kennedy should be ashamed for comparing the civil rights struggles of blacks to that of illegal aliens. Black Americans are being driven out of their jobs and schools by the influx of illegals—while politicians like Kennedy sell them out for Hispanic votes.”

Thirty years ago, the Los Angeles Unified School District student population was 24% black and 32% Hispanic. Today, one in 10 students is black, and seven in 10 are Hispanic.

“These figures should be alarming to anyone who cares about black Americans. Unfortunately for blacks, politicians like Kennedy are more interested in the next election—and blacks are a small slice of the voting pie, while Hispanic numbers are exploding. Blacks must finally claim their birthright as Americans, and say ‘no’ to the further devastation of their workforce and communities by illegal aliens and their political accomplices,” said Rev. Peterson.

I am glad some black leader is speaking up for the many blacks that are against these illegal immigrants.

I hope Blacks understand one thing.....white people are not against them...if they buy into what Latino's are trying to get them to do.....going against their fellow citizens that are white......it won't help the Country.

For all Americans of every race, color and creed to understand the threat and the danger that is fast approaching. There is an evil agenda under all of this and tyranny in this country is raising it's ugly head! Our constitution and bill of rights does not fall in line with the UN agenda 21 nor the globalists plans. Why has not Bush been impeached as he has committed more treachory against America than any president in history. Why if he was such a great American president did he not immediately close down the borders after 9-11? If we don't act quickly we will, ALL of us INCLUDING illegals, become their slaves! Can't you see this coming?

Ted Kennedy referring to the illegal immigrants as the same as the civil rights movement of the negros is ludicrous. They were and are american citizens, while these latinos and others are criminals. The negros are right to stand up against this so-called amnesty that Ted Kennedy and others are proposing as yes it is directly their jobs that these illegals are taking, and it will be the rest of our jobs they will take in the future if allowed amnesty.

I've been playing around with the idea of going to Black forums and posting a lot of information there about illegal immigration. On most, they are against illegal immigration and are more aware of the problem than we think. Though I believe more information made available to them would help greatly. It dawned on me awhile ago there has to be alliances between a few different races of AMERICANS. On some White forums the mention of this brings about much heckling and sometimes anger. There's one Black forum I think would give a similar response.
Let me ask you, do any of you believe one race can win this fight? Especially when you take the very young and elderly out of the numbers for any one race. People, there have to be alliances and we need to start getting the information out on other forums. What do you all think about this idea?

I agree Ohio All american citizens of all races must unite together for this fight against amnesty and to secure our borders. FYI: you joined ALIPAC on my birthday, what a great present another american willing to defend our country from this invasion of illegal immigrants
