Senator Menendez to Introduce Immigration Legislation in the Coming Weeks

Despite Lindsay Graham’s threats that an immigration bill will be dead on arrival this year, Democrats plan to move ahead with immigration legislation. The DREAM Act will be part of this year’s Defense Authorization bill, along with the repeal of DADT. The vote on that should be coming up soon, but in the weeks to come, Senator Menendez plans on introducing an immigration bill that, according to TPM, is based on the legislation that Senators Schumer and Graham were working on before Graham’s temper tantrum a few months ago.
