Senate Hearings Set on Border "Incursions"
A US Senate committee will hold hearings March 1st into recent violence and incursions along the southwestern border, 1200 WOAI news reported today.

Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas), cited last month’s appearance of uniformed and heavily armed men assisting drug traffickers in west Texas, the discovery of caches of weapons, including improvised explosive devices in Laredo, and an upsurge in immigrant smuggling activity in the last few months.

Cornyn said its an ‘urgent’ national security issue.

“It is common knowledge that human smugglers can bring across those who want to work, and for the right price, bring across someone who means to do us harm, including an international terrorist,â€

Butterbean, excellent point. Even now, 4 years, 4 months and 26 days after 9/11--they stilll want to wait until....March.

These politicians are making 'political moves'...after all there will be elections come November...so we need to 'talk' about this situation.

Unfortunately Cornyn is not up for election until '08...but Hutchison is.

I hope that all voters everywhere will vote out the 'talkers and promisers' and vote in some 'doers'.
