Thread: Senator Gordon Smith-New Plan, Won't Commit To NO on Cloture

On today's local edition of the Lars Larson Show, Oregon Republican Senator Gordon Smith announced his decision to pitch a revised version of Rep. Stephen King's bill requiring all employees on a company's payroll to have matching name and SSN. If the two don't match, the employer cannot deduct the employees taxes on their corporate tax filing.

Smith calls the President's plan a backdoor amnesty and says he won't support it. The only disturbing item was when Lars pressed him on his plans for the cloture vote, Smith wouldn't commit to voting NO.

Please overwhelm him with calls on Monday to encourage him to say no to cloture. He's come a long way in even talking on the air about immigration, let's take him into the full no-amnesty zone.
