Seven slain men are found in Tijuana
TIJUANA – Mexican authorities are investigating the killings of seven men, one a federal agent, whose bodies were dumped around the city Friday night and yesterday morning.

The federal agent, Noe Gaxiola Gastelum, was found with two other victims at 7:30 a.m. yesterday in a parked car near Hotel Camino Real in Tijuana's business district.

The cause of death of Gaxiola and the other two unidentified victims has not been determined, but Gaxiola showed signs of having been beaten, according to a news release from the state Attorney General's Office.

The night before, two men were found dead inside a car in another part of the city. A note left near their bodies said, “For being traitors.”

Fewer details were available about the weekend's two other victims, though authorities said both had been shot in the head.

The high death toll has some speculating that some or all of the killings are the result of feuding drug groups.
